Description // Doble Filo, Cuba's first hip hop group, speaks a subtle political message in "Apenas los Ojos" or "Open your eyes" on life and times in Havana, Cuba. The video is broken up in to two parts, the first being the long, endless work day that so many Cubans endure on a daily basis, and the second being the night, were tourists, hustlers, and the seedy underbelly of Havana comes to life. The story of a Cuban boy, his mother, and a tourist interconnect with band members Yrak Saenz and Edgar Gonzales.

Description // This is recession art. We made this video for zero dollars without ever stepping foot outside of our apartment. It only looks good because it was shot and directed and edited by Andrew Gura who is the motherfucking man who makes videos for Nas and Snoop and other famous people but who also happens to be a down-to-earth cool dude who just loves to do videos. I think for all of us, it was a real back to basics project, really stripped down and personal. No money, no crew, no stress. It was like when we were kids and we used to just make stupid videos for fun. And I really think that joy comes across in the look of the video.
